The China Consulting Association was duly established in April 2003 and is registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs. As a non-profit and self-disciplinary social body, the Association aims to promote the upgrading of its members' capacities in specialized services and occupational credit, and guarantee the value and validity of consulting work, by creating and improving the procedures for membership qualification, certification and occupational behavior criterion for its members. It will also assist its members in providing professional services to various organizations for their sustainable development through the formation of a consulting industry with top knowledge and resources. In our view, both in the developed and the developing world, the consulting industry is a dynamic and growing knowledge-based industry which is crucial to the sustainable development of an economy, society and environment.

• Have at least 3 consecutive years experience in operating a consulting business;
• Have appropriate consulting skills and relevant and up to date knowledge of the industry demonstrated by practice;
• Show high standards of professionalisms when serving clients;
• The professional attitude of "to start well is to end well";
• Has received high recommendations from clients on their past performance.

The occupational behavior criteria set out by the Association is the required conduct expected by members of the Association. In practice, members adhere to the principles of "independence, objectiveness, and fairness" and respect their peers by competing together on a fair basis. Members provide professional services in line with the requirements entrusted to them by their clients. Members will use scientific methods, professional knowledge and their abundant experience during the consulting process and will not provide any false, prejudiced, misleading or incomplete results to the client.

Members will respect the intellectual property rights and interests of others and will maintain any confidentiality asked of them by their clients. Members will not undertake any business beyond their own business scope or capacity and will not make any unreasonable commitments or guarantees to their clients.
